Buffalo's Pierce Arrow Museum will be the starting line for the Great Race, billed as the world's premier old car rally, in June 2018.
Details of the distinction will be discussed during a news conference at the museum, 263 Michigan Ave., at 11 a.m. Monday. The international event will feature early 500 participants in a nine-day race from Buffalo to Halifax, Nova Scotia, a distance of 2,300 miles.
Two cars that won the Great Race in their eras, a 1911 Velie Race Car and a 1916 Hudson, will be displayed during the news conference.
