A convicted sex offender from Cattaraugus County has been charged with failing to update his address and filing false information with the state Sex Offender Registry, the State Police said.
Donald G. Howe Jr., 31, was arrested Wednesday on the two felony charges, police said.
Howe is on probation for a conviction last year for a felony criminal sexual act, according to the state registry. He was charged last April with giving a tattoo to a minor in exchange for oral sex. The victim was a 16-year-old girl.
Howe, who lived in Delevan at the time of his arrest last April, was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 10 years of probation last August, according to the registry. He was classified as Level II offender.
Howe had most recently been living in Machias, according to the registry. He was ordered to be held in the Cattaraugus County Jail after his arraignment on the probation violation and the two new felonies, the State Police said.
