A Williamsville man is accused of initiating an online conversation with a 15-year-old girl and continuing to text her and request that she share inappropriate photos of herself after she revealed her age to him, federal authorities say.
Christopher Chase, 49, is accused of enticement of a minor.
Following a sexually graphic conversation with the girl on Wednesday, Chase arranged to meet her Sunday at a Walgreens drugstore in Depew, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Shortly before the appointed meeting time, special agents with Homeland Security Investigations observed Chase’s car parked just down the street from the Walgreens where he had arranged to meet the girl. Chase was arrested after he pulled into the Walgreens parking lot, where he was found to be in possession of condoms and sex lubricant, authorities said.
He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine of convicted.
