Fire spread to three homes on Jewett Avenue on Friday morning, extensively damaging two occupied homes and a vacant house.
A blaze that was reported at 4:18 a.m. at 230 Jewett, between Filmore Avenue and Holden Street, spread to 228 and 234 Jewett, according to Buffalo Fire Department radio transmissions.
No injuries were reported, said Buffalo Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Swanekamp. Demolition crews were being called to the scene. Firefighters declared the blaze under control at 6:11 a.m., according to radio transmissions.

The 2 1/2-story house at 230 Jewett was fully involved when firefighters arrived. Photos from the scene show little remains of the building where the fire started.
Damage to both 230 and 234 Jewett was estimated at $230,000. The vacant home at 228 Jewett sustained about $130,000 in damage, according to fire officials.
A home at 224 Jewett, initially believed to have sustained some exterior damage, was not damaged in the three-alarm fire, officials reported over department radio.
