brat'ya song to be featured on CW's 'The Originals'

The CW sure seems to have a thing for the Buffalo music scene.

After including songs from local acts M.A.G.S. and Humble Braggers on hit shows "The Flash" and "iZombie," the network will next feature music from local electro artist brat'ya on the popular show "The Originals."

Scheduled to air on April 21 April 28, the episode is set to feature the song "Dreams," a track from the act's 2016 EP "Call Me." brat'ya is the retro synth-pop project (think Neon Indian) of Buffalo musician Alek Ogadzhanov.

The CW love continues Ogadzhanov's recent hot streak. Taste-making music label Business Casual, home to fellow Buffalo electro artist Darksleep, just released his sleek debut LP "Nightwalker" at the end of March.

"The Originals," a spin-off of the long-running network show "The Vampire Diaries," follows the members of the original vampire family after it returns to New Orleans to reclaim the city." The show airs at 8 p.m. Fridays.
