Three young teenage girls reported that a man approached them in Martin Luther King Jr. Park while walking home from school Friday afternoon and offered them money and shoes if they got into his car, Buffalo police said.

The girls, all Buffalo school students, told police the man offered them money, and then offered to buy them sneakers, if they would get into his vehicle. They said they ran home. The girls reported the incident to police and the school district on Monday.

The man was described as a black male, heavy set with medium complexion. His vehicle was described as a light gray, Chevrolet Impala.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Buffalo police immediately.
