Five Things to do in Buffalo: March 26

"Here." Burchfield Penney Art Center, 1300 Elmwood Ave. 878-6011. $5-$10. Ever wonder what makes Buffalo special? How can we identify ourselves in a country as large as America? At the Burchfield-Penney Art Center, a new installation called "Here," shows, in pictures, just that.

"In the Continuum." 4 p.m. Paul Robeson Theatre, 350 Masten Ave. 884-2013. $22-$25. Putting a human face on the AIDS crisis in both Africa and America, "In the Continuum" tells the tale of two women who are worlds apart but are more alike in more ways than one.

Fishbone. 7 p.m. The Waiting Room, 334 Delaware Ave. 853-5483. $20-$25. Fishbone has covered a lot of ground over 25 years. Now, with its original lineup, Fishbone comes to Buffalo to give you its unabashed mix of ska, funk and punk in one highly anticipated show.

Varsity Vocals ICCA Central Semifinal. 7 p.m. University at Buffalo Center for the Arts, 103 Center for the Arts. 645-6259. $23-$38. You know the a cappella throwdowns from movies like "Pitch Perfect." Now you can see it in person with this international collegiate a capella competition that was featured in the film. The top eight qualifying vocal ensembles in the region will compete.

Open Mic Night. 7:30 p.m. Mr. Goodbar, 1110 Elmwood Ave. 882-4000. Free. One of Buffalo's fastest growing hot spots for good times, Mr. Goodbar has an open mic night every Sunday where you can show your musical prowess in front of a crowd.
