Buffalo police and firefighters found no evidence of a methamphetamine lab in a home on the city's West Side on Friday morning.
Officials were called to investigate a home on the 300 block of Potomac Avenue, at the corner of Hoyt Street. There had been a large presence of police and firefighters.
"There were some indicators there," said Buffalo Fire Commissioner Garnell W. Whitfield Jr. "It turned out to be nothing."
After receiving the report of something suspicious, officials investigated because of the potential volatility when a meth lab is operating, Whitfield said.
