Miami contractor pays $1.6 million for former Krispy Kreme building

A Miami-based general contractor and construction firm that works closely with national retailers has acquired a former Krispy Kreme store on Niagara Falls Boulevard in the Town of Tonawanda that is now occupied by Vitamin Shoppe, one of its clients.

Frontier Building Corp. paid $1.62 million to acquire the 0.75-acre property at 1250 Niagara Falls Blvd. from Ronald D. Gilbert, a Gettysburg, Pa., investor.

The 4,329-square-foot free-standing one-story building, which was constructed in 2003, sits between Watch World and Metro Mattress, across from Boulevard Mall.
