Former Park School boys basketball standout and two-time All-Western New York First Team selection Jordan Nwora will join other top college prospects and participate in the Jordan Brand Classic on April 14 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Nwora, the Louisville commit, currently plays at Vermont Academy, a prep school, and will participate in the boys regional stars game.
There are three other games, National Boys, National Girls and International, are part of the Jordan Brand Classic. The event is a "celebration of the next generation of stars," according to the Jordan Brand Classic website.
A who's who of basketball talents have participated in this event, including current NBA stars LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony.
The 6-foot-8 Nwora shot 42 percent from three-point range and averaged 23 points per game as a junior in helping Park win the 2015 New York State Federation Class B championship. Last season, he led the Pioneers to the Manhattan Cup final, where it lost in overtime by two points to eventual state Catholic Class A champion Canisius. He averaged 24 points and 12 rebounds per game. The latter category was nearly double his production as a junior.
At the time Nwora signed with Louisville, he was ranked 91st on ESPN's list of top 100 recruits.
Past participants in the regional game include Taurean Thompson, who averaged 9.2 points per game as a freshman this season at Syracuse.
