Niagara County Community College’s dream of a national junior college championship in men’s basketball came to an end on Thursday afternoon. The Thunderwolves dropped a 105-78 decision to South Suburban (Ill.) in the quarterfinal round of the tournament. The game was played in Danville, Ill.
Niagara CCC fell to 25-6. South Suburban improved to 23-11, but all 11 losses were due to forfeits over the use of an ineligible player.
Niagara CCC will take Grand Rapids CC, which lost to Lewisburg CC on Friday night.
