Moog Inc. is getting $3.6 million in tax breaks from the Erie County Industrial Development Agency for a $32.6 million expansion project that is expected to create 42 new jobs at the motion control equipment maker's Elma campus.
Moog, one of the Buffalo Niagara region's biggest employers with 2,500 workers locally, plans to build a 95,000-square-foot addition to its aircraft division's facilities in Elma. Most of the expansion will be used for mechanical and electronic assembly work. The new space also will include test facilities for its military and commercial aircraft flight control products.
