Three men were arrested late Friday afternoon shortly after the attempted armed robbery of a woman in the first block of Sidney Street, Buffalo Police said.
Dante Wiley, 20, of East Ferry Street; Dujour Rice, 19, of Frankford Street; and Narrsson Boyd-Haley, 21, of Niagara Falls, were charged each with attempted first-degree robbery and third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Boyd-Haley also was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
The suspects were taken into custody about 5 p.m., while trying to hide in a Sidney Street house, police said. The victim reported the three forced their way into her car in the first block of Sidney and pointed a handgun at her.
As they searched her belongings she managed to call 911, police said, and the three suspects broke into the house where they were arrested. They remained in custody in Erie County Holding Center Saturday night.
