Falls police have few clues to go on in Walnut Avenue attack

NIAGARA FALLS - A 28-year-old man suffered a head wound Friday evening when he was attacked in the 1900 block of Walnut Avenue, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center emergency room just before 6 p.m. after hospital officials reported the attack. The victim, police said, would say only that  he had been attacked near a Coastal gas station, and there may have been more than one attacker.

The injury was not life-threatening, police said.
