The free press must stand up to an erratic chief executive

I am writing to express my concern about the increasingly erratic behavior of our president.

There are many responsible members of our government, yet his insults, lies and preposterous tweets continue unchecked. I have given up hope that members of his party will intervene and guide him toward more modified behavior.

His attacks on the free press are dangerous to our democracy. Therefore, I am, like every other American citizen, relying more than ever on the press, and especially investigative reporters to stay vigilant.

You are our “fire wall” protecting us from the misinformation generating from the White House. Thank you for your consideration.
