A man from Hungary has pleaded guilty in federal court in Buffalo to trying to re-enter the United States after a felony conviction, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Sandor Lorant Felhazi, 32, tried crossing the Rainbow Bridge into the United States on Feb. 7, according to officials.
Felhazi was previously convicted of felony theft, manufacturing false identification documents and tampering with governmental records in Georgia and Texas, authorities said.
Felhazi needed permission to reapply for admission into the country, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Felhazi faces up to 10 years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine. His sentencing is scheduled for June 21.
