Joan R. Faust, bookkeeper and bank teller

July 3, 1929 – Feb. 23, 2017

Joan R. Faust, of the Town of Tonawanda, a retired bookkeeper and bank teller, died Feb. 23 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst. She was 87.

The former Joan R. Beaudrie was born in Buffalo and was a graduate of East High School.

Mrs. Faust was a bookkeeper for Lutheran Services and Carpetland and was a teller for the former Liberty Bank. She retired about 1990.

A Girl Scout leader when her daughters were young, she later was active in card clubs and the Town of Tonawanda Senior Citizens.

Her husband of 43 years, Harold J. Faust, died in 1992.

Survivors include three daughters, Anne Shay, Barbara Chiaravalle and Gwen; two sons, Paul and David; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered in St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, Town of Tonawanda.
