The University at Buffalo added four first places to its total Friday and stands in second place in the team scoring with 427.5 points after the third day of the Mid-American Conference men’s swimming and diving championships in Carbondale, Ill.
Mason Miller won his second gold of the meet, breaking his own school, meet and pool records with his time of 46.66 seconds in the 100 butterfly after first setting them in the preliminaries.
Itai De La Vega erased his own school record in winning the 100 breaststroke in 53:61 seconds. It also broke the meet, conference and pool record.
Hudson Carroll of UB won the 100 backstroke in 48.12 seconds. Carroll also swam lead on the Bulls’ victorious 400 medley relay. De La Vega, Miller and Martin Leigh were the other relay members as the team won in 3:13.06.
