The Tonawanda Town Board approved Monday night a special use permit for Boss Cars to sell used autos at 797 Sheridan Drive in a C-general business district. The dealership is moving from its current location on Sheridan at Parkside.
Under the approved conditions - Boss Cars will only be allowed to sell four used cars in good condition on the lot and will operate from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays. It also is required to plant three trees along Mapleview Drive and install a 6-foot privacy fence along the residential line.
Also approved, subject to a permissive referendum, was a plan to spend $75,000 from the capital reserve fund to replace the carpeting in the workout room at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
The board also gave permission to Director of Youth Parks and Recreation Jeffrey Ehlers to organize the second annual Rails to Trail volunteer clean-up event, which will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Earth Day, April 22.
