Get yourself ready for today's #PrepTalkLive action with everything you need to know about the day ahead in high school sports.

What to watch for Monday

1. Boys hockey - Super Monday at KeyBank Center

Niagara Cup: 1-St. Joe's vs. 3-Canisius, 4 p.m.

These arch-rivals meet for the third year in a row to battle it out for the Niagara Cup. The Marauders won last year, while the Crusaders won in 2015. St. Joe's took the first matchup against Canisius this season, 4-0, on Jan. 16 and the two teams played to a 1-1 tie on Feb. 2. Read up on how the teams got past their semifinal opponents here.

Large schools: 1-Williamsville North vs. 4-Lancaster, 6:15 p.m.

Williamsville North and Niagara-Wheatfield have been staples in the large schools final over the years, so this matchup is a welcome change for Lancaster. The Spartans and Legends split their regular-season games. Lancaster opened the season with a 4-2 win over North, while the Spartans returned the favor with a 2-0 win on Jan. 26.

Small schools: 4-Kenmore West vs. 7-West Seneca East, 8:30 p.m.

Kenmore West and West Seneca East both earned one-goal wins over higher seeds last week to move on to tonight's final. The Trojans, a Division 3 team, topped the Blue Devils, who are in Division 4, in their only game this season by a score of 4-1.

2. Boys basketball - Section VI semifinals at Buffalo State

Class B-1
- 1-East Aurora vs. 5-Dunkirk, 6 p.m.
- 2-MST Seneca vs. 3-Newfane, 7:45 p.m.

Buff State Week officially gets underway with the semifinals in Class B-1.

The top-seeded Blue Devils (18-3) are led by the trio of Nick Montgomery, Joe Montgomery and Cal McTigue. The Marauders (13-9) are a high-scoring bunch who took down No. 4 Springville by 20 points last Friday.

Newfane-MST Seneca is a rematch of the second game of the season, which the Panthers won on their home court, 56-43. Newfane (15-6) got 33 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists from sophomore Max Weber in its 78-53 quarterfinal win over 6-Depew. Earl Howard is the high-scorer for the Indians (17-4). He averages 17.1 points per game.

Winners play in the Class B-1 final on Saturday back at Buffalo State.

3. Boys basketball - Section VI semifinals at Jamestown CC

Class C-1
- 1-Chautauqua Lake vs. 5-Allegany-Limestone, 5:15 p.m.
- 2-Cleveland Hill vs. 6-Portville, 6:45 p.m.
Class D
- 1-Clymer vs. 4-Sherman, 8:15 p.m.

Class C-1 favorite Chautauqua Lake (18-3) and Devin Pope, the leading scorer in Section VI at 28.3 ppg, take on Allegany-Limestone (9-12), which beat 4-Salamanca in the quarters on Friday, 57-38.

Cleveland Hill (13-8) and Portville (7-14) play in the middle game on Monday. The Eagles are led by 300-point scorer Paul Woodward, who had 19 points in their 67-54 quarterfinal win over 7-WNY Maritime. Portville upset 3-Tapestry on Friday, 66-60, behind 26 points from Nick Stein.

Clymer (15-5), winners of seven straight, gets its first taste of postseason action against Sherman (17-4), which routed Forestville, 57-22, in Friday's quarterfinals. Dustin Neckers, Justin Svetz and Josh VanEarden all average double figures for the Pirates.
