Fairfield at Niagara
2 p.m. at the Gallagher Center
Records: Fairfield (10-9), Niagara (9-21, 6-13)
The Set-Up: Niagara is likely locked into the No. 9 seed and a meeting with No. 8 Quinnipiac. The only way Niagara falls to No. 10 is if it loses and Marist wins at Siena (unlikely).
What's on the line: Niagara has lost four straight and desperately needs some good mojo entering the MAAC Tournament. There have been times this season when the Purple Eagles have looked like a team on the rise. They beat Siena in January, were 2-2 in the MAAC, then lost four straight. They swept Canisius, had won 4 of 7 MAAC games, then lost four straight (to the top 4 in the MAAC). The issue isn't that they lost to a good St. Peter's team Friday, it's they looked bad doing it. How much life to the Purple Eagles have left this season?
