A Town of Hamburg man is facing felony charges for allegedly engaging in sexual acts while baby-sitting a child younger than 13 over the past two years.
Scott C. Curnew, 40, is charged with criminal sexual acts in the first degree and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arrested Friday by Eden Police officer Nicholas Blasz.
Authorities were alerted after a conversation was overheard while the victim was in school, police said Saturday.
Curnew was arraigned by Eden Town Justice Michael G. Cooper and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $75,000 bail.
