Commercial fishing days of Barcelona to be discussed on March 7 in Westfield

WESTFIELD -  Cristie Herbst, Chautauqua County Historical Society president and retired Jamestown Post-Journal editor, will discuss  Barcelona, which was  a thriving commercial fishing community for much of the 19th and early 20th centuries,  at 6 p.m. March 7 in the Octagon Gallery at Patterson Library.

The program is co-sponsored by the Patterson Library and is being held in conjunction with Karen Glosser's exhibit, "Soulscape: Reflections on Lake Erie." It is the first of the 2017 speaker series offered by the Historical Society.  There is no charge.
