State police charged a Chautauqua County man with driving while intoxicated and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Jason Dustin, 44, of the Town of Poland was pulled over on West Main Street in the Town of Falconer for a traffic violation and arrested after failing several field sobriety tests, according to state police. Two children, both under 16 years old, were inside Dustin's vehicle at the time of the traffic stop. They were turned over to a family member who responded to the scene.
Dustin was transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown where a breath sample taken from him was measured at .12 BAC, police said. He was issued appearance and traffic tickets and released. Dustin is scheduled to return next month to the Town of Ellicott Court to answer the charges.
