Buffalo police arrested two men in connection with a shots fired late Tuesday in the vicinity of Hudson Street and Whitney Place on the city's West Side.
Jonathan Johnson, 35, was charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm, criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment and obstruction of governmental administration, police said. The other man, Alex Laboy, 21, was charged with obstruction.
Central District officers said they responded to a call just after 11:30 p.m. at Hudson Street and Whitney Place, and that Johnson and Laboy attempted to flee when officers arrived, but were quickly apprehended. Officers said they recovered the gun in a backyard in the 200 block of Whitney. The gun appeared to have been stolen, they said.
Police said they also recovered a bullet in the coat pocket of one of the men arrested.
