Chris Collins on Flynn's resignation: 'Time to move on'

In the wake of Monday night's resignation of Michael Flynn as national security adviser, Rep. Chris Collins said on CNN Tuesday morning "it's just time to move on."

Flynn had contacts with the Russian ambassador to the United States before Trump took office, raising questions about his connections to Russia.

Collins said while he has no personal knowledge about what Flynn discussed with the Russian ambassador, he believes Flynn was acting on his own.

"I don't believe anyone knew what Gen. Flynn was doing or directed him to do something relative to the discussion with the Russian ambassador," Collins said in the interview. "I believe that was Gen. Flynn's decision to have the conversation he had."

Collins was pushed by CNN's Chris Cuomo on his apparent lack of curiosity about what happened.

"To be honest, I just live in a world where I always move forward. In a busy world you don't dwell on the past," the Clarence Republican said.
