Niagara’s short break is over, while first-place Canisius looks to extend its unbeaten streak this weekend in Atlantic Hockey Association play.
The bye week is over for the Purple Eagles, who return to the ice against host Army West Point. The two-game set starts at 7 p.m. Friday at Tate Rink.
The contest will be Niagara’s first in 12 days, as the Purple Eagles (3-22-3, 3-17-2) look to snap a six-game losing streak.
Canisius also hits the road as the Golden Griffins head to Bridgeport, Conn., to take on Sacred Heart at Webster Bank Arena. The games are at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Griffs (15-10-6, 14-4-5) own the nation’s longest current unbeaten streak as they extended it to 10 last weekend with a win and tie against Army (12-11-4, 11-9-2). The Pioneers come into the game 10-14-4, 8-12-2.
