Buffalo man pleads guilty to vehicular assault in crash that injured 2

A Buffalo man whose drunken driving caused serious injury to two passengers pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of  second- degree vehicular assault.

Brian Lee, 21,  was speeding  on Ogden Street in the vicinity of Broadway 2 a.m. on June 24, 2016 when he lost control of his car, which went onto railroad tracks and crashed.

Ashley Kollander, 21, of Cheektowaga and Traiya Skeels, 21, of Sloan suffered fractures to their spines as a result of the collision.  Lee's breath alcohol count was measured at .16 percent, which is twice the legal limit, according to Erie County prosecutors.

Lee faces up to four years in prison when he is sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burn on April 27.
