Family and friends of addicted people will hear from counselor, nurse

A registered nurse and addiction counselor is scheduled to address a group whose loved ones are struggling with addiction.

The Family and Friends of Addicted Persons Support and Educational Group at Good Shepherd Community of Faith will hear from Karleen Bordonaro, who is a registered nurse and addiction counselor, as well as Emergency Department coordinator at Kaleida Health. Bordonaro also helped start a family support group in 2015 for those whose loved ones are addicted.

The group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 9 in the Good Shepherd Community of Faith, 187 Southside Parkway, Buffalo. It is free and open to all.
