Three cars involved in Grand Island crash

A three-car crash Saturday on Grand Island was apparently the result of slippery roads and other factors, according to fire officials.

The crash occurred on Stony Point Road, between Whitehaven Road and Independence Lane.

Rescue personnel from the Grand Island Fire Company were called to the scene about 10:48 p.m., according to Fire Chief Chris Soluri.

The driver of one of the cars and her passenger, both 63, were evaluated at the scene and transported to Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital for follow-up, fire officials said.

Another driver, 17, was uninjured. In the third car, two 16-year-olds declined medical attention, fire officials said.
