One man hospitalized after head-on crash of snowmobiles in Chautauqua County

MAYVILLE – A Pennington, N.J., man was flown to Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa., after two snowmobilers were involved in a head-on crash on private property in the 6000 block of Route 394 Saturday afternoon, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office.

Samuel Fabin, 24, was injured in the collision, but the nature of his injuries was not disclosed. Adam Martin, 24, of Salem, Va., was driving the other snowmobile when they collided at the crest of a hill about 2:15 p.m. as visibility was obscured by the day's snow-related weather conditions, according to the sheriff's office.

Neither snowmobiler faces charges as a result of the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
