Family of three aided by Red Cross after Moselle Street fire

A mother, father and their child were provided temporary housing and other assistance by the Red Cross early Saturday evening after a fire at their 2 and 1/2-story wood frame home at 313 Moselle Street.

Buffalo Fire Department crews were sent to that address at 6:08 p.m. and had the fire out by 7:02 p.m. Officials said the fire began on the second floor of the house and caused $45,000 damage to the building and $10,000 damage to contents. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
