Serving on a jury is our patriotic duty
To the writer complaining about serving jury duty three times in 25 years, shame on you. Yes, it is inconvenient, but it is a small price to pay for the freedoms we enjoy. It should be an honor to serve our country as a juror.
Heaven forbid if she or a loved one is in court and in need of a jury of her peers. If everyone felt the way she does, no one would receive justice.
Men and women have sacrificed their lives for our democracy. There are valid reasons for automatic excusal from jury duty and, yes, those excuses are limited. But seriously, stop whining and take pride in serving your country.
