Niagara Falls woman with prior DWI charged with aggravated DWI

NIAGARA FALLS - A woman with a revoked driver's license for a prior DWI conviction was charged Sunday night with aggravated DWI, according to a city police report.

Police pulled over a car driven by Jessica M. Kazukiewicz, 29, just after 10 p.m. on 18th Street after an officer observed the vehicle making a turn without a turning signal, according to the report.

Kazukiewicz had several open beer cans on the floor of the back seat, according to police. She failed several field sobriety tests and placed under arrest. At police headquarters, she registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.22 percent, nearly three times the legal limit.

Police charged Kazukiewicz with aggravated DWI, DWI, driving without an ignition interlock device, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving without a license and failing to use a turn signal. Her prior DWI conviction was in June 2013, according to the report.
