Leugim Castillo of Lancaster has been selected as CBS MaxPreps' top baseball player in the state in a post featuring the top scholastic players from each state in the country that officially sanctions the sport.

Castillo, the Oklahoma commit, played error-free baseball in 2016 to help the Legends win the Section VI Class AA championship. He hit .492 with 13 of his 20 hits going for extra bases, including seven homers. He also earned MaxPreps Junior All-American following a season in which he also scored 29 times, drove in 26 runs and stole 16 bases.

Castillo is a three-sport athlete at Lancaster, earning All-WNY first team honors after a football season in which he helped the Legends win their first sectional title since 1999. He also plays basketball.
