NIAGARA FALLS - State police charged a Niagara Falls man with aggravated driving while intoxicated Sunday afternoon on Pine Avenue.

A state trooper pulled over a vehicle driven by Robert Magaris Jr., 32, at about 3:10 p.m. because it was missing a license plate, according to State police. Magaris failed field sobriety tests at the scene and registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.22 percent in a breath test at the Niagara barracks, authorities said.

Police issued Magaris appearance tickets for Niagara Falls City Court.

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Jeffrey Frazier, 33, of Niagara Falls, was arrested after police discovered he was wanted in Mobile County, Alabama, for a probation violation that stemmed from a first-degree robbery charge, State police said.
