The Mid-American Conference announced on Monday the University at Buffalo's football conference opponents for the 2017 season, completing the Bulls' 12-game slate.
Bowling Green, Northern Illinois, Ohio and Western Michigan will visit UB Stadium. Buffalo will travel to Akron, Ball State, Kent State and Miami (OH). Dates for conference games will be announced in March.
The Bulls also will play four non-conference games beginning at Minnesota on August 31. The Gophers' new coach is former Western Michigan head coach P.J. Fleck, who led the Broncos to the MAC championship last season.
The following week, Buffalo will travel to Army for a game at West Point on Sept. 9. The Bulls will host Colgate in the home opener on Sept. 16 followed by a home game against Florida Atlantic, led by new head coach Lane Kiffin, on Sept. 23. Kiffin was head coach t the University of Southern California and Tennessee. More recently he was offensive coordinator at Alabama. UB faced Florida Atlantic in 2015 and won, 33-15, in Boca Raton, Fla.
UB defeated Army, 23-20, in overtime at UB Stadium last season but the other three nonconference opponents replace Albany, Boston College and Nevada on the schedule.
The Bulls met the same eight conference opponents in 2016, winning only over Akron, 41-20, at home. Akron was the only conference opponent UB held under 31 points.
