State police: I-86 driver clocked at 109 mph, refused to pull over

KENNEDY - State Police tried to stop a driver for speeding on Interstate-86 Thursday, but he just kept going  - at 109 mph, they said.

The driver got off the interstate at the School House Road exit, according to the State Police, and with assistance from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office, he was  eventually stopped in Randolph.

In addition to speeding, Tristan Drake, 20, of Troy, Pa., is charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer and several traffic vioations.

He was arraigned in Poland Town Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail. He's due in Poland Town Court next month, police said.
