Police seek car in collision that left bicyclist in serious condition

Niagara Falls police on Friday were searching for a 2002- to 2005-model, charcoal-colored Hyundai Sonata with front passenger side damage, in connection with a collision Thursday that left a 19-year-old bicyclist in serious condition.

The incident occurred about 3:20 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Ontario Avenue, according to authorities. The victim, whose name was not released by police, was transported to Erie County Medical Center.

The sedan that was being sought by police Friday had left the scene before police arrived.

The Niagara Falls Police Department Crash Management team also continued its investigation into the accident and asked anyone with information to call 286-4711 or 286-4565.
