As more than 300 Buffalo area residents board buses tonight bound for the Women's March on Washington, Buffalo News reporter Maki Becker and photographer Robert Kirkham will travel with them.
The two will ride through the night on a chartered bus to provide live coverage Saturday of the protest against President Donald Trump in Washington, one day after Trump was inaugurated as the nation's 45th president.
More than 200,000 people from across the country are expected at a 10 a.m. rally and at the 1:15 p.m. march Saturday.
Beginning Saturday morning on buffalonews.com, you can follow their live coverage as the Buffalo protesters wake up on buses arriving in the Washington D.C. area and then head to the protests.
The Women’s March website shows that there are more than 400 buses from New York State alone headed to D.C. for Saturday’s event.
