Man killed in Buffalo is city's seventh homicide in January

A 20-year-old man died after he was shot Wednesday night near Walden and Bailey avenues, Buffalo police said Thursday morning.

The man was shot at about 10:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Keystone Street, off Walden and east of Bailey, according to police. The victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center. Police have released no further details.

The man becomes the city's seventh homicide victim so far this month, which was already the most deadly January in at least 10 years.

Police ask that anyone who may have information about the shooting to call or text the Buffalo Police Department's confidential tip line at (716) 847-2255.
