Theodore T. Hill led police on car chase Monday night when his vehicle sideswiped several parked cars in the city's Riverside District.
Hill 19, of Page Street was spotted about 11 p.m. Monday driving without headlights and failing to stop at the stop sign on Gallatin Avenue and Hunt Avenue, according to police. Though officers tried to force him to park, he drove off, sideswiping vehicles before crashing into a light pole at Royal Avenue and Tonawanda Street.
After he got out of his vehicle and tried to flee on foot but was captured on Saratoga Street.
Hill was charged with second and third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, reckless driving, reckless endangerment of property, unlawfully fleeing police in a motor vehicle and numerous traffic infractions.
