Routine car stop leads to gun and drug arrests for three

Officers charged Arthur McMorris, 21, Jordan Williams, 20, and Demario MCarley, 17, all of Langfield Drive, with weapons and drug possession counts after stopping a vehicle on a routine traffic check at Langfield and Edison Avenue about 7:30 p.m. Monday, according to Buffalo Police.

Officers said they found a small plastic bag of crack cocaine, a vial of marijuana, a burning marijuana blunt, a 45-caliber handgun and a 40-caliber handgun in the vehicle.

All three were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. They remained in custody at the Erie County Holding Center Tuesday night.
