Early indications are there was no foul play involved in the drowning of a woman in the hot tub of a downtown Buffalo hotel room.
But police will not make a final determination on how she died until toxicology results are completed from the autopsy, authorities said Monday.
The woman, described as in her 40s, was found dead in the hot tub just before 1 a.m. Sunday in the Hampton Inn, 220 Delaware Ave.
Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the death.
Buffalo Police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge has said that the cause of death is an apparent drowning.
