Two people in Buffalo were charged after a raid Wednesday where authorities said they found a semi-automatic rifle and full, high-capacity magazine next to an infant's crib with the baby inside.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant early Wednesday at 471 Fillmore Ave., between William and Peckham streets. The sheriff's narcotics and SWAT units found marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the home, the sheriff's office said.
Authorities charged Antuan Yeomas, 26, with criminal possession of a loaded firearm, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, false personation, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Yeomas, who had multiple warrants out of Rochester, has a previous felony conviction, the sheriff's office said.
Sheriff's officials also charged Kiaira McCullough, 21, with child endangerment and marijuana possession. McCullough has a case pending with Child Protective Services, the sheriff's office said.
The infant was placed into the custody of relatives.
Both Yeomas and McCullough are being held at the Erie County Holding Center pending their arraignments.
