Authorities charged a North Collins restaurant employee with burglary and grand larceny after more than $1,000 in cash was stolen from the business, the Erie County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.
David Wagner, 39, of North Collins was also charged with criminal mischief, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies were called to Piz-A-Italia on Gowanda State Road on Christmas Eve for a reported burglary. Wagner was identified through security footage and arrested at his home.
Wagner, who worked for the restaurant for 10 years, is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in North Collins Town Court. He is being held in the Erie County Holding Center.
