Explore Buffalo’s winter speakers series will continue in January with sessions that focus on the medical history of the city and advertising for health products.
The series will resume at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 in the First Presbyterian Church at 1 Symphony Circle. The cost of the event is $10, or free for Explore Buffalo pass holders.
The sessions will focus on the medical history in Buffalo, which since the mid-1800s has developed clinical, educational and medical research facilities. There will also been discussion on the area's most famous patent medicine peddlers and medical advertising prior to the creation of the Food and Drug Administration.
