Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo won't be giving his usual State of the State address in Albany this January, his office announced Monday. Instead, the governor will give six regional addresses during the week of Jan. 9.
"This year we plan to do it a little differently,” said Melissa DeRosa, Cuomo's chief of staff. “Our efforts have focused on regional development strategies across the state and we want the opportunity to lay out regional accomplishments, goals and challenges.
Cuomo will give his regional addresses in New York City, Western New York, the Hudson Valley, Long Island, Capital Region and Central New York.
