Gerald Jacobs, 33, of Norfolk Street, was arrested on Carl Street late Wednesday night after he alleged shot at a car, then allegedly crashed his own vehicle into a Buffalo Police patrol car, police said Thursday.
Jacobs allegedly fired a handgun at the Carl Street woman's car sometime after 11 p.m. Wednesday. When police arrived at the scene, Jacobs allegedly tried to speed away and struck a patrol car. He got out of his vehicle and was captured in a driveway in the 100 block of Carl street, according to a police arrest report.
A police K9 unit dog allegedly found the handgun Jacobs had in a backyard of a Carl Street home, also in the 100 block.
Jacobs was charged with felony counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree menacing and a number of traffic violations. He remained in custody at the Erie County Holding Center Friday.
