Two men in Wyoming County accused of being in U.S. illegally

PERRY - Two men in federal custody stand accused of being in the United States illegally after authorities encountered them during an investigation Saturday in Wyoming County.

Eliaquin Abilder Aguilar-Roblero, 22, and Francisco Javier Roblero-Bravo, 20, were arrested after police found a vehicle abandoned in the middle of an unspecified road, Customs and Border Protection officials said.

Aguilar-Roblero legally entered the country in May on a visa for agricultural workers. He was to work at a farm in Waycross, Ga., and the visa expired July 5, authorities said. He told federal agents he moved to Perry to work on a local farm instead of leaving the country, according to the border patrol.

Roblero-Bravo told authorities he entered the country illegally in December 2015 by crossing the Rio Grande.

Both are being held pending deportation.
